PORT ISABEL – The race is on to reunite children and parents who were separated after crossing the border illegally.

A federal judge set July 26 as the deadline for the Trump administration to reunite these families.

The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol were seen transporting people in vans throughout the day as the 5 p.m. deadline approached.

KRGV’s Daisy Martinez reports from the Port Isabel Detention Center with the details.
