EDINBURG — Deputies found a man dead near Alton on Monday.

Sgt. Frank Medrano, a spokesman for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, said that deputies found a man dead inside a car near the intersection of Monte Cristo Road and North Bryan Road.

Medrano said the Sheriff's Office is investigating the man's death. No other information was immediately available.
