Shopping Smart to Avoid Debt During Holiday Season
MCALLEN – While many people have begun their holiday shopping, experts advise they should keep track of their spending or end up in a financial mess.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS reached out to a local credit repair company about holiday debt.
Elias Sandoval with Easy Solutions Credit Repair told us staying debt free this holiday season is all about maintaining a budget.
Time is also important, according to Sandoval. He said setting aside several times to shop will help you avoid impulse buys.
If you have to use a credit card to make a purchase, Sandoval said to use one that has money back rebates or with no interest for the first 18 months.
