Shots Fired in High-Speed Chase in Cameron County

SAN BENITO – Shots were fired during a high-speed chase that began in San Benito.

The chase ended as constables and sheriff’s deputies came to  halt on Military Highway in El Ranchito, just miles from the border, Friday afternoon.

The driver fled about eight miles to avoid Border Patrol.

Officials tell us three officers were involved, we're told one person was injured.

San Benito police are leading the investigation.
