Silver Alert for 76-Year-Old Alamo Man Discontinued

UPDATE (8:50 p.m.): The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office reports that 76-year-old Pedro Saenz has been located.

Saenz is in good health and has been reunited with family.

He was located as he was entering the U.S. at the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville.

ALAMO – A Silver Alert and was issued by a regional alert system for an elderly man last seen in Alamo.

Police say Pedro Saenz is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office says he was last seen on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m on Earling Road. 

He was driving a maroon 2005 Ford F-150 with license plates BGF0177, according to a press release issued out Thursday morning.  

Saenz's daughter says he usually stays around the Alamo area and Mission. 

"He's very talkative. He's very friendly," she tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS. "He likes to start up conversations with anybody, really. Nothing, in particular, I can think of but that he'll talk to anybody."

Saenz is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white and blue striped shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities say the 76-year-old’s disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.
