SPI Officials Warn of Heat-Related Illness During Summer
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Officials at South Padre Island are warning about health risks of spending time outdoors as temperatures continue to rise.
According to the National Weather Service, heat illness has killed more people in the last decade than any other weather phenomena.
Heat-related symptoms include headache, muscle cramps and nausea.
Seek medical attention immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.
