Suspect in Harlingen Auto-Ped Crash Charged
HARLINGEN – A Harlingen man accused in a deadly auto pedestrian crash was formally charged.
Adrien Salas, 31, is facing intoxication manslaughter charges.
Natividad Chavez, 57, was hit while crossing the street three weeks ago. She later died of her injuries in a hospital.
The incident happened near the 1100 block of South Sunshine Strip.
Authorities said Salas fled the scene. He was arrested in the city of Pecos a week later.
