Suspect in McAllen Auto-Pedestrian Crash Arraigned
MCALLEN – A man who police said hit two people with his vehicle and then robbed two others at gunpoint early Saturday morning is in custody.
Jose Miguel Pereyra-Alfaro is charged with intoxication assault, accident involving injury, aggravated robbery among other charges.
About 40 minutes later, he approached two men and robbed them at gunpoint, according to a McAllen Police Department statement issued Monday.
The second incident occurred less than 10 miles away from the auto-pedestrian crash.
The male victim in the crash, who suffered serious injuries, is recovering at the hospital.
