Suspicious Call Forces Evacuations at Hidalgo Co. Courthouse

UPDATE (10:49 a.m.) - Hidalgo County officials gave the "All Clear" around 10:30 a.m. 

Edinburg police said they received a call about three suspicious packages at the courthouse around 9:00 a.m. The building was evacuated. 

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is investigating.


EDINBURG – A threat called into the Hidalgo County Courthouse forced evacuations Tuesday morning.

The courthouse, elections annex and courthouse annex have been evacuated as a precaution.

People are being asked to avoid the area.
