DALLAS (AP) - Storms are set to sweep across parts of North and Central Texas, with forecasters warning of strong winds and pingpong ball-sized hail.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for portions of North Texas until 5 p.m. Saturday, and has warned that a slow moving storm could cause minor flooding of the Trinity River.

The line of storms is set to move west to east through the morning and afternoon, covering an area from south of Killeen to north of the Oklahoma state line.

The weather service says the storms are set to pick up from midday, with the possibility of frequent lightning, hail and tornadoes into the afternoon.
