MCALLEN – The Texas Department of Transportation continues to move forward with the demolition of the Bicentennial Boulevard overpass.

If weather permits, the westbound frontage lanes of I-2 will be reduced to one lane between 10 Street and Bicentennial Blvd.

The lane closure will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Drivers are advised they can still use the frontage roads.
