U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Now Accepting Proposals
WESLACO - The U.S. Corps of Engineers are seeking bids for border security upgrades.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS obtained government documents that state the corps of engineers are accepting proposals.
The construction contracts will be for projects including the border fence, Border Patrol roads, lights, gates and levee walls.
The documents say the bids are for the entire U.S.-Mexico border.
The total cost of all contracts will be $8 billion.
