Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle Suspect Turns Himself In

UPDATE (9/12): Jerry Elizondo turned himself in to authorities Tuesday morning, according to Primera Police Chief Manuel Trevino. 

A judge set his bond at $5,000. He was then transported to Cameron County jail.

PRIMERA – Primera police are looking for a person wanted for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police said Jerry Elizondo, 35, of Harlingen, is a known gang member and a registered sex offender. He allegedly took a family member’s vehicle without permission.

The vehicle is a green 1999 Ford Escort with Texas license plates BRT-8811.
