WESLACO – New standards for community care and urgent care for veterans is set to take effect in June, according to a Department of Veterans Affairs press release.

Last month, VA leaders in Washington proposed these provisions in health coverage.

This will guide when veterans can seek care to meet their needs under the MISSION Act, which was signed by President Donald Trump last year.

This includes both VA service and private care organizations.

The VA is asking for the public’s input on what these standards should be.
