HARLINGEN – Officials in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs are currently reviewing a program which could expand throughout the U.S.

The program has personnel on site to coordinate appointments between veterans and doctors in the private sector.

The director for the Veterans Integrated Service Networks in Texas and the CEO of Tri-West were in Harlingen on Friday to look for ways to improve the ‘High-Performing Network’ program.

There isn’t yet a set timeline as to when the government will expand it to make it nationwide.
