Valley Border Patrol Agents Arrest Sexual Offenders

EDINBURG – U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley continue to encounter criminals in the U.S. illegally.

On Monday, agents working near Roma apprehended Honduran national, Daryl Corleto-Amador, after he entered the country illegally.

During processing, agents discovered a previous arrest in Florida by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

Records indicated that the CCSO arrested him for lewd lascivious battery.

Corleto-Amador was subsequently convicted and sentenced to four years of probation. 

That same day, Weslaco agents working near Donna arrested a Mexican national, later identified as Leobardo Trevino-Torres, after he entered the U.S. illegally.

During processing, record checks revealed a previous arrest in the state of Minnesota for criminal sexual conduct in the first degree.

Trevino-Torres was convicted on the sexual offense charge and received a sentence of 86 months confinement and five years of probation.

Border Patrol is processing both subjects accordingly.
