Valley Family, ICE Reach Settlement Agreement after 6 Years
WESLACO – A Rio Grande Valley family and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reached a settlement agreement after a six-year battle.
The agreement was reached last week, years after the case was filed before a federal court.
ICE conducted a raid at a McAllen home to search for the husband of the woman who filed a complaint.
According to a statement made by the family, the actions of agents traumatized several children in the home and also led to injuries on a 14-year-old.
The family reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount.
