MCALLEN – A local man says he’s repeatedly tried to alert federal authorities about non-stop scam calls.

Louis Heins says he’s called to report it and even went in person to the Social Security Administration.

He says he stopped trying because the process is too lengthy and complicated.

A Social Security Administration spokesperson says people need to contact the Inspector General at 1-800-269-0271 to report fraud.

If it's a matter of identity theft, you can contact the Federal Trade Commission online
