Valley Officials Want Guidance from State on Legality of CBD
EDINBURG – Cannabidiol products are becoming more common in the Rio Grande Valley.
CBD is derived from the same plant marijuana comes from.
Local officials believe they need guidance from the state on what is legal and what isn’t.
“We need our local police officers to know how to enforce the law,” explains Edinburg City Attorney Omar Ochoa.
The city of Edinburg requested a legal opinion from the Texas Attorney General due to the confusion.
KRGV’s Christian von Preysing has the details.
