Valley Woman Pleads Guilty to Defrauding State Medicaid
MCALLEN - A McAllen woman pleaded guilty to defrauding Medicaid of more than $3 million.
Fifty-five-year-old Anna Ramirez-Ambriz is the owner of a durable medical equipment company called Compassionate Medical Supply in Edinburg.
Ramirez-Ambriz admitted she submitted false and fraudulent claims to Texas Medicaid.
She faces up to 10 years in prison.
Ramirez-Ambriz is set to be sentenced in June.
