RIO GRANDE CITY – Authorities confirm several areas in Rio Grande City are currently flooded.

The affected areas include La Lomas Subdivision, the downtown area and some neighborhoods in the northern part of the city.

Some homes in those areas are getting flooded with water.

People are advised to stay off the roads in that area at this time.

A CHANNEL 5 crew is heading to the area.
