TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - The widow of one of two Texas pilots killed in a cargo plane crash in Ohio says he had nearly 50 years of flying experience.

Authorities identified the two who died in Wednesday's crash near Toledo as 72-year-old Douglas Taylor and 69-year-old Donald Peterson Sr. Both were from Laredo, Texas.

Kathy Peterson tells The Blade newspaper in Toledo that the two men had made many flights together, transporting auto parts from Laredo to factories around the U.S.

Their plane crashed just short of the runway at Toledo Express Airport, hitting empty semitrailers at an auto repair lot. No one on the ground was injured.

Investigators haven't released any information about what might have caused the nighttime crash.

It's not yet known whether any distress call was made from the plane.
