RAYMONDVILLE – Construction of a new emergency shelter in Willacy County is set to be complete by next week.

The project began in 2009 and was originally scheduled for completion in 2013.

We’re told lack of money caused the extra delays.

The building will be used as a safe point during emergency evacuations.
