Woman to Face More Charges in Hit-and-Run Accident

BROWNSVILLE – A Sugarland woman accused of a fatal hit-and-run accident on South Padre Island was back in court Wednesday to face three more charges.

Daisy Joy Decker now faces a total of nine counts for a fatal hit-and-run during spring break.

Those include intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault with a vehicle and accident involving serious bodily injury.

A Los Fresnos woman was killed and several others were hit as they were walking in the pedestrian lane of Gulf Blvd.

The victims' ages between 16 and 22 years old.

Her bond was set at $140,000.
