Wreaths Across America Project in Need of Volunteers
A decades-old holiday tradition is now expanding to the lower Rio Grande Valley.
Wreaths Across America is a 26 year long tradition that involves placing wreaths at the grave sites of those who served our country.
Organizers have until December 15 to gather volunteers to place around 900 wreaths in separate cemeteries.
Those who know someone in need of a wreath, or are looking to volunteer, may find more information at: myharlingen.us/page/veterans.home.
CHANNEL 5's Cecilia Gutierrez spoke to volunteers for the project.
