I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from Cal State University Northridge, I spent a year working as a sports production assistant at CBS Los Angeles. Funny enough, that's where I met Monica De Anda, who covers news for the same station now. I wrote highlights, edited videos, and had opportunities in taking a camera to cover local professional team practices. It was a great opportunity, but my goal ultimately was to work in front of the camera instead of behind the scenes. I took a leap and moved away to a much smaller city and TV market. I spent a year reporting on local sports in the Chico-Redding region located in northern California. I'm a proud son of immigrant parents from El Salvador, a place I travel to often to visit family. In my free time, I still can't get enough of sports. You can always find me watching nationally televised games, reading articles, or outside playing pick-up basketball/soccer games at a park.
