1 Dead Following Crash in Hidalgo Co.
WESLACO - The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash.
It happened Tuesday around 10:46 p.m. A preliminary investigation revealed a Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on U.S. 281 of the Hidalgo County Line.
The driver lost control, veered off the roadway and rolled over several times onto the west side of the road by the fence line.
The driver was sent to Doctor's Renaissance Hospital.
The passenger, identified as Edinburg resident Mario Alberto Perales, 38, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers are continuing their investigation. CHANNEL 5 NEWS will report any further updates.
