320 Troops to be Deployed to Border
WESLACO – More troops are heading to the border.
The approval for 320 more troops came following a new report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
These border assignments will cost taxpayers more than $7 million.
Authorities say more migrants crossed the border illegally in March compared to any other month within the last decade.
A migrant caravan, which includes less than 300 people, left from Honduras Tuesday to head to the U.S.
