5 Suspects Face Felony Kidnapping Charges
ALAMO – Five accused kidnappers are behind bars in Hidalgo County.
They were each charged with third-degree felonies for kidnapping two migrants.
Both victims are believed to being the country illegally and police say both were being held against their will.
The victims were identified as a 22-year-old man from Guatemala and a 21-year-old woman from El Salvador.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told the female hostage was able to get a picture of the street to her family in El Salvador using the WhatsApp mobile application when her captors made her call home and ask for money.
The case is under investigation.
