Body Found in Rio Grande in Brownsville
BROWNSVILLE – Brownsville police need the public’s help in identifying a man that was found dead in the Rio Grande River.
The body was pulled out of the river in an area between Monsees Road and the Brownsville/Matamoros Bridge.
Police said the body was badly decomposed, but they were able to make out a tattoo of the name, “Yadira.”
Authorities believe it may be the body of an immigrant. They're working with the Mexican consulate and reviewing missing persons reports.
