Bulky Items to be Collected for Sanitation in Mission
MISSION – The city of Mission is helping its residents with spring cleaning.
Crews will be collecting bulky items that residents may want to dispose every Monday for the next month.
It’s a win-win situation, according to Mission Sanitation Director Cesar Gutierrez. He said it serves as a free service to residents and it helps the city keep properties clean.
He said the city decided to have the event after a growing interest from residents inquiring about how to dispose of large items. It’s the second annual collection.
“Items like a sofa, anything bulky that they’ve been trying to get rid of that maybe is in the yard, inside their garage that they’ve been wanting to go throw away, but they can’t get rid of it so we’re providing this for them,” Gutierrez said.
