CBP Seize Over $1M in Drugs at Pharr Bridge

PHARR – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Pharr International Bridge stopped more than $1 million in illegal drugs from entering the country.

Officers stopped a tractor-trailer for inspection on Saturday and found 50 packages of cocaine with a street value of more than $970,000.

In a separate incident, authorities stopped another trailer and found 406 packages of marijuana weighing nearly 950 pounds.

The drivers were arrested and are now in Department of Homeland Security custody.
