Charges against man connected to chaotic Mercedes meeting dismissed
A chaotic commissioners’ meeting in Mercedes in Sept. 2019 that ultimately led to five people being arrested.
Among those arrested, Israel Coronado was arrested in December, just days after he announced he was running for mayor. Charges against him are now dismissed.
Hidalgo County District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez told CHANNEL 5 NEWS he filed a dismissal request “in the interest of justice."
