City of Mission to Determine Possible Run-Off for Mayoral Race
MISSION – The votes for the Mission mayoral race are in and will be canvassed this week.
Mission City Secretary Anna Carrillo says the city will make a decision on whether there will be a run-off at the commission meeting on May 14.
Incumbent Mayor Norberto Salinas received 49.97 percent of the vote. However, he needed 50 percent to secure the win over current city council member Armando O’cana.
If the city of Mission votes for a run-off, the vote will be on June 9.
