EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County Community Service Agency received more funds to help people with their utility assistance.
The agency’s director, Jaime Longoria, said the state gave them $80,000 in administrative funds.
They asked the state if they could convert those funds into direct service dollars.

They will be able to use these funds until Dec. 31.
