Day after Christmas Busiest Day for Returns
WESLACO – The day after Christmas is a busy day for both bargain hunting and gift returns.
The Better Business Bureau says Dec. 26 is the busiest day of the year for processing returns.
Shoppers are warned to use caution in order to avoid falling victim.
"If they start asking for social security numbers, or bank account numbers, or credit card numbers to process a refund that’s a red flag,” says Dolores Salinas of BBB.
Merchants are required by law to replace or refund defective items; any other item that is not defective must fall in line with store policy.
KRGV’s Trason Bragg explains what you’ll need to bring with you and what you need to do differently if you purchased your items online.
