Emergency Crews Respond at McAllen Airport following Reports of Smoke in Plane Cabin
MCALLEN – Emergency crews were called in to the McAllen Miller International Airport after an incoming plane reported smoke in the cabin.
Flight 4158 from Dallas arrived at about 8 a.m. Monday.
One of the passengers tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS she heard a popping sound then smelled the smoke.
Another passenger says he didn’t even notice the problem until he saw the first responders.
American Airlines sent this statement regarding the incident:
"Upon approach, an odor was detected in the cockpit. The flight landed safely and taxied to the gate, where our maintenance team is looking into the issue."
