FBI Investigate Hidalgo Co. 93rd District Court
EDINBURG – CHANNEL 5 NEWS learned one arrest was made in connection to Friday's raid at the Hidalgo County courthouse.
FBI agents conducted law enforcement activity at the Edinburg building, according to FBI spokesperson Michelle Lee.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra also issued a statement specifying the FBI was at the Hidalgo County Courthouse 93rd District Court, the court of Judge Rudy Delgado.
The stairway leading to the district court was cordoned off while agents conducted their investigation. The building is officially closed, however, no FBI officials have left the premises.
Information in the case is limited. It’s unknown what they are doing specifically and why they are there.
The federal agency tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS they will have more information on Monday.

Department of Public Safety Lt. Johnny Hernandez confirmed DPS is assisting the federal agents on another scene involving Delgado's home on West Schunior Street in Edinburg. DPS troopers are blocking the entrance to the property.
