FBI Warning Consumers about Phishing during Holiday Season

WESLACO – The FBI is issuing a holiday warning for consumers.

An agency spokesperson is reminding people to be extra careful when responding to emails.

Phishing takes place when crooks use emails or text messages to get a hold of online passwords and banking information.

Investigators advise against responding directly to strange or unexpected emails.
