CORPUS CHRISTI - Vela got the third round playoff rematch they wanted when the SaberCats faced Austin Westlake in Corpus Christi on Friday. The Chaps had mangled Vela in 2017. This time though the outcome was the same, Vela's defense refused to be pushed around in a closer, 28-0 loss. For the second straight season, the Cats finish 12-and-1. In San Benito, the Valley's second third round game of the night was more lopsided. Judson put up 69 points in recording a 69-18 victory over the Greyhounds. Four more games, all on Saturday, will determine the fate of Valley football for this season.
