Former McAllen Teacher Pleads Not Guilty to Federal Drug Charges
MCALLEN – A former McAllen teacher pleaded not guilty to federal drug charges stemming from his involvement with a Reynosa drug cartel.
Jorge Ignacio Cavazos was arrested in January after being accused of aiding the cartel.
He faces federal drug conspiracy, and drug possession and distribution charges.
Jury selection begins June 4.
