Hidalgo Co. EMS Lays Out Plan to Get Out of Bankruptcy

EDINBURG – Surviving bankruptcy in to save lives. One of the largest emergency medical service companies in the Rio Grande Valley was back in court with a plan of action.
For the past few months, Hidalgo County EMS has been trying to fix their money issue. They filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in October.
Court documents reveal the company owes more than $900,000 to the IRS, local medical supply companies and vehicle maintenance fees.
They submitted a “90-day cash budget” with the Southern District Bankruptcy Court, which will allow them to operate through February.
