Drivers leaving the city of Hidalgo may be able to avoid traffic jams on their way to Expressway 83.
“Dicker Road was widened to five lanes between Jackson Road and 23rd Street.
The expansion took more than 10 years to plan and was under construction for two years.
The project cost $17 million – most of which came from federal funding.
