Honduran Couple Arrested for Alleged Smuggling Attempt
FALFURRIAS – A Honduran couple was caught by Border Patrol at the Falfurrias checkpoint for allegedly smuggling others into the country illegally.
The two asylum hopefuls are accused of driving from Houston to pick up two family members near the checkpoint.
Investigators say the couple’s two children were also in the vehicle, as well as a brush guide who facilitated the route.
Border Patrol confirmed a total of six adults and two children were in the vehicle.
The case is still under investigation.
