Immigration Shelters for Minors to Close Sunday
MCALLEN – Short-term emergency centers for unaccompanied minors close this Sunday.
The International Educational Services, Inc. spokesperson, Robin Diane, explains the few children still in their care will be placed in other facilities until their cases are settled.
The Office of Refugee Resettlement says the children will be transferred no later than March 31.
No word yet as to why the IES is closing its eight shelters in the Rio Grande Valley.
