Investigation Underway following Vandalism of Donation Box in Mission
MISSION – Police are investigating after a donation box at Mission Food Pantry was broken into.
The director of the food pantry, Adela Ortega, calls this act of vandalism “senseless”.
Their goal is to help in any way they can. They have five donation boxes that are left unlocked all around the city.
Since the incident took place, the community has stepped it up and donations have poured in.
Officer Art Flores says the person responsible could face a $500 fine for criminal mischief.
KRGV’s John Paul Barajas has the details.
