Judge hears case in legal dispute over the allowance of food trucks on South Padre Island

A barbecue food truck owner is seeking answers as to why his business isn’t allowed on South Padre Island. 

Scott Bovee, owner of Porky’s Food Truck said the pandemic affected his brick and mortar store. 

“Our business took a big dive and we went to where we could only serve outside the restaurant," Bovee said. “We decided to close the restaurant — we couldn’t even afford to pay our employees on time.”
