Local Detective Says Numbers on Sex Crimes Against Minors Increased
RAYMONDVILLE – Police in Raymondville say there have been three arrests in one month due to sexual assault.
According to police, adults are using the internet to lure underage children into danger.
Detective Denise Ledesma says the numbers on sex crimes against children have increased the last five years, and last year had the highest numbers.
Ledesma explained her office is continuing to work with federal agencies and other police departments around the valley to follow leads and educate parents on the dangers of internet communication.
