Local High School Students Impacted After Pres. Trump's Visit

EDINBURG – President Donald Trump’s visit to the Rio Grande Valley served as a teaching moment for some high school students.

Edinburg North High School students say they hope the president left the Valley with an open mind.

"We're good people and most of us come over here to find jobs and better life for our kids,” says student Abel Ramirez.

Social studies teacher, Juan Ortega, says this visit is impactful for his students and the Valley.

Ortega says the visit makes the students realize how important the Valley really is.
