Man Involved in Weslaco Chase Had Outstanding Warrants
WESLACO – Authorities say the driver involved in a chase that ended on Expressway 83 in Weslaco had warrants out for his arrest.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS Sky5 camera captured police taking the man into custody late Monday morning.
Officials say the suspect fled when Hidalgo County sheriff's constables tried to pull him over for speeding near Victoria Road.
We're told he sideswiped two other vehicles before hitting a cement barrier on the expressway.
Weslaco police add the man was wanted for burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
